About Inenergy · Founded 2010

Experienced.
On Your Side
As a leading energy consultancy UK, we take the heat out of your energy costs and keep it out, year after year.
OUR STORY
15 Years of Getting It Right for UK Businesses

Inenergy was founded in 2010 as an energy broker, helping businesses navigate a market that was and remains deliberately complex. Over time, our clients asked for more. Not just contract rates, but proper advice: on billing disputes, on multi-site complexity, on what the market was actually doing and why. We evolved into something different a consultancy.
Today, after 15 years and thousands of client engagements, we serve everyone from owner-managed SMEs to large multi-site organisations with dozens of meters across multiple suppliers. Our independence is the foundation of everything we do. We are not tied to any energy supplier. We carry no volume incentives, no preferred-partner arrangements, and no commissions that compromise our objectivity. That is unusual in this industry. We think it should be standard.
WHY CHOOSE INENERGY
Three Things That Set Us Apart
Independent Consultancy
We are not tied to any supplier and never have been. Every recommendation we make is based on what is best for your business — not what generates the highest margin for us. In an industry where most brokers are paid by suppliers, our independence is a structural advantage for you
End-to-End Partnership
We stay for the outcome, not just the sale. From first enquiry through procurement, contract management, bill validation, and strategic review — we are with you at every stage. When something goes wrong (and in energy, it often does), we are already in position to fix it.
Specialists in Multi-Site Complexity
If your energy needs are simple, use a comparison site. If you manage multiple sites, mixed meter types, different contract end dates and multiple suppliers — you need us. We are built for exactly that level of complexity, and it is where we create the most value.
Proprietary Tools Built for the UK Energy Market
Off-the-shelf software does not solve the specific problems of UK energy management. So we built our own.
Pricematch 56
Real-time wholesale market pricing. What traditionally takes 3–7 business days takes minutes. We run live quotes across all major suppliers simultaneously, so you see the market not just one broker’s preferred panel.
Central Hub
A single platform for all client enquiries, invoices, and supplier interactions.
No chasing emails, no repeating yourself. Every issue tracked from open to resolved, with full visibility for you at every step.
Bespoke Reporting
Monthly reports covering spend trends, consumption data, contract milestones, and recoverable funds.
Designed for decision-makers, not energy managers clear, actionable, and actually read.
£102M
Overcharged to UK businesses in a single 12-month period
Billing Errors Are Not Rare. They Are the Rule.
Research confirms UK businesses were overcharged by £102 million in a single 12-month period due to supplier billing errors. These are not rounding differences — they include incorrect unit rates, wrong standing charges, duplicate invoices, and tariff miscodes that persist for months or years because nobody is checking.
Our bill validation process cross-checks every invoice against your agreed contract rates and actual consumption data. Discrepancies are challenged directly with the supplier. Recovered funds are returned to you. In many cases, we identify errors that clients have been absorbing for years.
Reason1
Independent Consultancy
Ofgem’s Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) programme represents the most significant reform to UK energy billing since deregulation. By 2027, all businesses will be billed on interval-based half-hourly data rather than estimated consumption.
The Problem
One in three meters in the UK is not currently transmitting reliable half-hourly readings. Businesses on those meters face an uncertain transition — potentially billed on data that does not reflect actual consumption.
Our Approach
We audit your half-hourly data now — before the transition — to identify meters that are not transmitting reliably, correct data gaps, and ensure you move into MHHS with clean records. This is not a compliance tick-box. It is how you avoid years of billing disputes after 2027.
The Opportunity
Ofgem estimates MHHS will unlock between £1.6bn and £4.6bn in customer savings across the UK. That opportunity is only available to businesses whose data is clean and whose advisors understand how to act on it.
Our Commitment
“We do not work for suppliers. We do not accept commissions that compromise our objectivity.”
Our fees are transparent. Our recommendations are evidence-based. Our success is measured solely by your outcomes, not by the volume of contracts we place, the suppliers we favour, or the margins we extract from transactions you never see.
In an industry where opacity is the norm, we are deliberately different. Every recommendation we make, we will explain. Every invoice we query, we will document. Every saving we achieve, we will quantify. That is the Inenergy commitment and it has not changed since 2010.
